What we did today, and little bit about how I was inspired to write: “Freedom Birds” This song is my latest release!

Freedom Birds is available at: iTunes, Apple, Spotify, Amazon downloads and many other music distributors 😉

It all begins with an idea! Doesn’t it?! I’d love to be positive and upbeat and say that I write all my lyrics, and produce my music out of a sense of overflow and abundance, and partly that’s true. I’m very grateful for many wonderful things, experiences and the people in my life. My family, Malcolm, my home town, and travel experiences are all amazing. We should all count our blessings! However, I do struggle with depression and anxiety about the world we live in. We are leaving a legacy for our descendants and need to be very mindful about how we navigate future trends, and the impact that, will leave on them. All my songs are written out of an earthy, deep-seated passion to create hope, love and excitement for our future. ‘Freedom Birds’ was born out of the past week, where I spent 4 days in a migraine fog, whilst trying to produce 2 websites, and keep up with my allotment life. If we can’t step into a new day of hope, like launching ‘a thousand freedom birds’, what can we do? Life is a struggle for everyone, and we can certainly help each other by being real, authentic and open about who we really are! I am a classic creative! Sensitive, intuitive, anxious, hopeful, erratic, dynamic, colourful and full of low self-esteem. It’s the true reality for any creative personality. The more creative you are, the more sensitive and easily disturbed you can be! ⚠️ I hope this helps, you, the reader, to know that you can still produce worthy creations, even when you run at your lowest ebb. I do hold great expectations for the future of mankind, and I can fully imagine a wonderful world ahead of us - one that we all deserve. Let us all hope in heaven and have faith in our redeemer, for a wonderful new heaven upon the earth, which is coming very soon. In my poetry book, ‘Finding Hope in Crazy Times’ you will find that hope can turn everyones world into something glorious. I truly believe, if we move as a community and love one another, we will birth a wonderful new world together 💕😘 xxx

Today, Malcolm and I cycled up to Sturminster Marshall. The sun kindly cast some rays over us, so we took the opportunity to take the back road to our favourite village. The hedgerows are still full of blackberries, sloe, rose hips and hawthorn berries. I love to forage and produce all sorts of jams, ferments, and juices with natures treasure; but today, I ignored the desire to stop and collect, because I already have a cupboard full of jam, and a room full of home brew! Isn’t life wonderful! There’s so much to do and create.

On the way back home from Sturminster Marshall, we called in at the Kingston Lacy Kitchen Gardens. This place is a favourite of ours. You can find apple trees, grape vines, tomatoes and a variety of beautiful flowers and vegetables growing in this really peaceful setting.
